WealthSwipe Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a contract between you and WealthSwipe (the "Service", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must:
- Be at least 18 years old. The Service is not intended for minors and we will terminate any account we discover belongs to one.
- Not be on a sex-offender registry in your jurisdiction, in particular any registry related to offenses against minors.
- Be legally allowed to use a dating service in the country where you reside. WealthSwipe is not available in jurisdictions where its features (in particular wealth display and crypto-wallet linking) are restricted by law.
- Have the legal capacity to enter into this contract.
WealthSwipe is launching in Miami, San Francisco, New York, Dubai, and Singapore. Availability in other markets is best-effort and subject to local law.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Do not share your password.
- One account per person. Duplicate accounts will be removed.
- You must provide a working email address. We use it for password resets and security notices, not for marketing without your consent.
- If you suspect your account has been compromised, change your password immediately and contact us.
3. User content
3.1 What you can post
You can post a profile (nickname, age, gender, interest preference, free-text bio, up to 6 photos), exchange direct messages with users you have matched with, and share whatever wealth-display configuration you choose.
3.2 What you cannot post
The following content is prohibited and will result in removal of the content and, at our discretion, termination of your account:
- Nudity or sexually explicit content in profile photos or messages
- Violence, gore, or threats of violence
- Harassment, bullying, hate speech, or content targeting protected classes
- Impersonation — pretending to be another real person, a celebrity, or a brand
- Illegal content or solicitation — including prostitution where it is illegal, drugs, weapons
- Spam, scams, phishing, romance scams, or "pig-butchering" schemes
- Unsolicited investment offers, "trading signals", crypto airdrops or giveaways, NFT promotions, token launches, pyramid or Ponzi schemes — WealthSwipe is a dating app, not a crypto marketing channel
- Any content that infringes someone else's intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights
3.3 License you grant us
When you post content (photos, bio, messages) you grant WealthSwipe a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, and display that content strictly for the purpose of operating the Service — i.e. matching you with other users and delivering messages. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where retention is required by law or by Section 9 — Termination.
We do not claim ownership of your content. You retain all rights you had before posting.
3.4 Reporting
If you encounter content or behavior that violates these Terms, you can report it from inside the app — tap the "Report or block" link on a profile in Discover or the overflow menu in a chat, pick a reason, and submit. You can also block a user; you will no longer see each other in Discover or in your matches list.
4. Wealth verification — important
WealthSwipe lets you link a public wallet address on Ethereum, Polygon, or BSC and displays the on-chain balance of that wallet, multiplied by a public USD price taken from CoinGecko, refreshed at most once every 24 hours. This is not a guarantee of net worth, liquidity, solvency, or anything else beyond the literal statement "this wallet currently holds X tokens with Y aggregate price at the moment we read it."
By linking a wallet you confirm and accept that:
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the wallet you link. If you link a wallet you do not actually control, that is fraud and we will terminate your account.
- The displayed value is a snapshot. Crypto prices and balances change continuously. The value shown may be out of date by up to 48 hours, after which the Service marks it as "verification pending."
- WealthSwipe does not custody, manage, transmit, hold, or have any spending power over your assets. We never request your private key, seed phrase, or any signature that could move funds. Linking is read-only — we sign a one-time challenge nonce (EIP-191
personal_sign) to prove you control the address, and that's it. - Wallet ownership signatures may be re-requested periodically so we can confirm you still control the address (per AD-001 in our technical requirements).
- WealthSwipe is not a money services business, not a broker-dealer, not a regulated financial advisor, not an investment platform, and not a payment processor. We do not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.
- WealthSwipe does not perform Know-Your-Customer (KYC) or Anti-Money-Laundering (AML) checks. You are responsible for your own compliance with the laws of your jurisdiction.
- WealthSwipe does not interact with NFTs, lending markets, staking, governance, or DeFi protocols of any kind.
If you misrepresent the source or ownership of a wallet, or use the Service to defraud another user, you indemnify us and you may be subject to civil or criminal liability under applicable law.
5. Subscriptions and in-app purchases
WealthSwipe offers three tiers:
- Free — basic matching, limited daily swipes
- Gold — $29.99 / month (or local-currency equivalent set by Apple)
- Platinum — $49.99 / month (or local-currency equivalent set by Apple)
We may also offer à la carte items (profile boosts, super swipes) for one-time purchase.
5.1 How billing works
- Subscriptions are processed by Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple — not WealthSwipe — charges your Apple ID payment method.
- Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date, per Apple's standard policy.
- The price you pay is the price displayed in the App Store at the time of purchase. Apple may apply local taxes on top.
5.2 How to cancel
Manage or cancel your subscription from iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancellation stops auto-renewal but does not refund the current billing period.
5.3 Refunds
Refunds for in-app purchases are governed by Apple's refund policy and are processed by Apple, not by WealthSwipe. Request a refund at https://reportaproblem.apple.com. We do not issue our own refunds for subscriptions or à la carte items.
5.4 Tier changes
If we change pricing or features within a tier, we will give you advance notice in-app. Existing subscribers keep the price they signed up at until their current billing period ends.
6. Code of conduct
By using WealthSwipe you agree to:
- Treat other users with respect. No harassment, no doxxing, no off-platform stalking.
- No spam. Do not send unsolicited promotional or commercial messages, including off-platform contact information you didn't agree to share.
- No scams. No romance scams, no "send me crypto and I'll send you more back", no investment pitches, no fake-emergency money requests.
- No data scraping. Do not collect, copy, or republish other users' profiles, photos, or messages by automated means or otherwise.
- No reverse engineering. Do not decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract source code from the iOS app, except where this restriction is unenforceable under your local law.
- No interference. Do not attempt to overload, disrupt, or attack our infrastructure, sub-processors, or other users.
Violations may result in warnings, content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent termination of your account, with or without notice.
7. Intellectual property
WealthSwipe, the WealthSwipe logo, the app name, and the user interface are owned by us (or our licensors) and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You receive a personal, non-transferable, revocable, non-exclusive license to use the iOS app for its intended purpose. You may not redistribute, sublicense, or build a competing product on top of it.
8. Privacy
Your use of WealthSwipe is also governed by our Privacy Policy (will be hosted at https://wealthswipe.app/privacy). The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Read it — it explains what we collect, why, and your rights.
9. Termination
9.1 By you
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account, or by emailing support@wealthswipe.app. On deletion:
- Your photos and profile are removed within 30 days.
- Your linked wallets and signatures are deleted.
- Your wealth snapshots are deleted.
- Past chat messages to other users are anonymized to "deleted user" but the message bodies remain visible to the recipient so they keep a coherent chat history. (See Privacy Policy, Section 9.)
- Logs containing your user id are pruned within the standard 90-day log retention.
9.2 By us
We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without prior notice, if:
- You violate these Terms or our community guidelines
- You abuse, harass, or defraud other users
- You misrepresent ownership of a linked wallet
- We detect fraud, payment chargebacks, or violation of applicable law
- Continued provision of the Service to you would expose us to legal risk
If we terminate for cause, we do not issue refunds for unused subscription time. Apple may issue refunds at its discretion under its own policy.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not guarantee:
- That you will find a match, romantic partner, or any meaningful connection
- That other users' profiles, claims, or behavior are accurate or trustworthy beyond the on-chain wealth signal we display
- That the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components
- That blockchain price data, RPC responses, or third-party services will always be available
You meet other users at your own risk. Always exercise common sense in real-world meetings: meet in public, tell a friend, do not send money to people you have not met, and never share your private keys or seed phrase with anyone — including someone claiming to be from WealthSwipe.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
- No indirect or consequential damages. WealthSwipe is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or relationships, arising out of or in connection with the Service.
- Aggregate cap. Our total cumulative liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service is capped at the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in subscription fees in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) €100 (one hundred euros).
- Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations on liability. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless WealthSwipe, its founder, employees, contractors, and sub-processors from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (a) your use of the Service, (b) your violation of these Terms, (c) content you posted, or (d) your violation of any third party's rights, including the rights of other users.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought before the competent courts of Italy, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your home country (in which case nothing in this section limits that right).
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do:
- We bump the
Last Updateddate at the top. - For material changes, we push a notification or display an in-app banner.
- Continued use of the Service after the change takes effect means you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.
15. Miscellaneous
- Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them to a successor entity with notice to you.
- Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement between you and WealthSwipe regarding the Service and supersede any prior understanding.
- Apple-specific. When you use the iOS app, the App Store's standard end-user license agreement also applies. Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the Service or any claims relating to it. To the extent these Terms conflict with the Apple EULA's required terms for licensed applications, the Apple EULA controls.
